H.I.I.T.- High Intensity Interval Training- This classic training method is key to what is know as the afterburn also known as EPOC (Exercise Post Oxygen Consumption) is defined scientifically as the "recovery of metabolic rate back to pre-exercise levels" and "can require several minutes for light exercise and several hours for hard intervals." Studies have revealed that HIIT training can initiate an afterburn nine times greater than traditional strength training. This is why we encourage you to use weights that result in 8-12 repetitions. After your workout, you will still continue to burn fat!
